Eating is an important habit for
people to survive. People can cook their own meals or just buy them in the
nearest restaurant. Nowadays junk food restaurants are easily found in our
society. These junk food restaurants make the people neglect how important the
cooking skill is. But is it true that cooking skill is important?
In our opinion, cooking skill is
absolutely important. People who have cooking skill tend to know as well which
food is healthy. By having cooking skill, a person would have a better
knowledge of cooking techniques, preparing food and new tastes. Indirectly,
this person is more likely to grow up to be healthy adults.
On the other hand, some people might
prefer buying a food in the nearest junk food restaurant to cooking their food.
They say it can save their time and it is much easy. Our group argues that this
habit of eating junk food can affect their health for example obesity,
cardiovascular disease, and diabetes. The excess fat, carbohydrates, and
processed sugar found in junk food contributes to these bad effects. People who
don’t have a cooking skill is likely to be unaware of the healthy food that
they are about to eat.
To sum up, we believe that all people
must have a cooking skill. It is a life skill that will help people to grow
into a healthier man.
